DIRECTIONS FROM LOGAN AIRPORT & SOUTH STATION TO SIMMONS COLLEGE

Transportation in Boston will be a mess, with the "Big Dig" and Road Closures during the convention. We have arranged for dormitory rooms at Simmons College and we recommend that you DO NOT rent a car at the airport, even if you could get one. The best bet is Public Transportation from the Airport or the Train Station to Simmons and back. There are numerous eating and sightseeing locations easily accesible from Simmons by walking or using the public transport system. Instructions are as follows from the Airport and the Train Station

Public Transportation from Logan Airport to Simmons College

-take the Blue Line train, located in the airport -- follow signs to MBTA Blue Line

-get off at the Government Center station

-take the Green Line E train outbound to Museum of Fine Arts stop

-exit train and take a right on Louis Prang Street

-pass Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum on left

-next block on left is Main Campus Building (300 The Fenway)

Public Transportation from South Station

-take the Red Line inbound Alewife train to Park Street

-take the Green Line E train outbound to Museum of Fine Arts stop

-exit train and take a right on Louis Prang Street

-pass Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum on left

-next block on left is Main Campus Building (300 The Fenway)

If that fails, call me at 713-683-9076. The MBTA fare from the Airport to the Museum of Fine Arts is $1.25 (exact change). As long as they don't have another fare hike, you won't end up like poor Charlie.
